This FGD provides discussion on industrial and trade strategies in Indonesia. The author of this policy bried provides a brief explanation about various policies and strategies as an effort to increase export performance, through improving production capacity to gain global market access. This can be achieved through initiatives in economic cooperation and free trade agreements. Moreover, it also discusses about shifting to new paradigm that is outward-looking to increase the economic competitiveness of Indonesia. For example by supporting the participation of domestic production in the global production network and value chain. During the discussion, the author of this policy brief has received some input and recommendation from different parties, which include government from different ministries and institutions, private investors and academics prior to publishing the outcome from this policy brief.
